Owner Dan Hopper was adopted from Seoul S. Korea and grew up just outside St. Paul, Minnesota. After starting his working career in his mid-20s owning a liquor store, Dan felt there was something missing. His hobby in woodworking inspired him to pursue a degree in Cabinet Making and turn his past time into a career.
Dan’s passion shone through in his work, starting in Finish Carpentry. After moving to Florida in 2015, he continued his career path as an installer at a local large-scale closet company and rose up the ranks to Supervisor before deciding to take the leap and begin his own business in 2020.
With 20+ years of experience under his belt, Dan has developed a skilled team of carpenters and designers to help grow Closets Plus to be the best residential storage design company in Southwest Florida.
Dan’s wife is an AP Science teacher, and his son attends Embry Riddle in Daytona. Their family dog Lewi loves belly scratches, and is very happy he doesn’t need to ever deal with snow on his walks.
